We plan to conduct a Delphi study to identify organization development (OD) for the future. This study was initiated in the 2nd OD Gathering (https://www.odgathering.com/) attended by approximately 100 OD professionals and researchers. The purpose of this study is to reach initial consensus on OD values for the future with labels, definitions, and behavioral indicators. The results of this study will be shared in the 3rd OD Gathering in December 2019 and disseminated to the OD community at large (see here for more details: https://www.odgathering.com/od-gathering-2019).

The following is the list of perspectives adopted by this study. When you answer the questions, please carefully consider them.

• We are identifying values of the field of OD for the future.
• OD values should guide how we practice OD.
• OD values can distinguish OD from other practices.

The goal of this demographic survey is to gather information to help us recruit a group of OD practitioners and researchers who can provide input regarding OD values including the definitions and behavioral indicators that can guide OD practice. We will use the survey responses to select participants for the study, ensuring maximum diversity in terms of geographic location, professional identity, gender, and educational level. We plan to implement three rounds of Delphi surveys. In each round, we plan to facilitate reaching consensus on the labels, definitions, and behavioral indicators of OD values for the future.

Specifically, here is a tentative plan for each round:
